Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist experienced with Philips 3T scanners and advanced imaging procedures for a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in outpatient, inpatient, ER, adult ICU, and community/teaching hospital settings
• Unit equipped with Philips 3T MRI machine
• All routine MRI imaging including MSK, neuro, body, and prostate as well as perfusion studies
• 4x10 hour evening shifts per week from 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM
• Call rotation from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM as determined by the technologists
• Weekend shifts every third weekend on second shift (1:30 PM to 12:00 AM)
• No floating required
• Clinical duties include performing advanced and routine MRI exams for a broad patient population
• Occasional extra shifts may be required
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Accepts first-time travelers

Requirements

• Current BLS certification through AHA
• ARRT(MR) or AMRIT certification required
• Minimum of 1 year MRI technologist experience
• IV start and contrast administration skills required
• Experience with PACS and EPIC or McKesson documentation systems
• MRI procedure experience with abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, breast, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, image post-processing, MIP, MRP, perfusion, spin echo, surface coils, T-1 and T-2 weighted images
• Experience with Philips MRI scanners required; GE experience preferred
• License required if applicable
