Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT certification and 2+ years of specialty experience to join a busy tertiary care, Level 1 trauma setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in a large tertiary care hospital specializing in inpatient, outpatient, ICU, and emergency MRI cases
• Level 1 trauma center with adult acute and critical care populations
• Duties include MRI scans using GE 1.5T and 3T magnets and Epic charting
• Evening shift (4x10 hours) from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with weekends required on blocked shifts
• On-call rotation likely one night per week (12:00 AM to 6:00 AM)
• Floating within service lines, departments, and facilities may be required
• Patient safety practices include strict isolation precautions and contrast media administration
• Primary responsibilities include high-acuity MRI imaging for acute care, ICU, trauma, and cardiac cases
• Participation in orientation modules and annual training required
• Navy scrubs required

• A maximum of 7 days of requested time off will be honored
• Candidates must be willing to float to other departments and facilities as needed
• First-time travelers considered if all requirements are met
• No travel partners permitted for this assignment
• Assignment subject to successful drug screening and compliance with all hospital credentialing requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent MRI Tech experience, including at least one year within the past 12 months with no gaps greater than 90 days
• Current BLS, ARRT MR, and ARRT R certifications required
• Experience with isolation precautions and contrast media administration required
• Familiarity with GE MRI equipment, PACS, and Epic EMR preferred
• Ability to start IVs and perform a variety of adult MRI procedures including MRA, MRV, and trauma assessments
• Must hold valid licenses for both Kansas and Missouri or a compact license at the time of consideration, if applicable
• Two recent professional references required, including one from a supervisor within the past year
• Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• No pending licenses accepted at time of consideration
