Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a compact or NC license, requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and key certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU of a short-term acute care hospital
• Patient ratio is 1 nurse to 3 patients
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00-07:00
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating required between both campuses within the ICU or similar units
• Uses Epic EMR system
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday coverage may be required based on facility needs
• Time off requests are considered at manager's discretion

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• No pending licenses accepted
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility locations for consideration
• Return staff must have been gone at least 1 year to be eligible
• May only complete up to 2 contracts before a 6-month break is required
