Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department role requiring an active MA RN license and current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Department serving a diverse island community
- Patient population includes year-round residents and seasonal visitors
- Rotating shifts, 36 hours per week
- Uses Epic for EMR documentation
- Shared housing provided at no cost to the traveler
- Flu vaccination required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Teamwork in a hospital environment that serves a large seasonal influx of patients
- Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to qualify for the standard rate
- Parking may incur daily costs depending on location
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required; no conditional or pending licenses accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications at start
- Primary source verification of license is required
- Experience with Epic preferred
