Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Pediatrics position requiring a CA license, BLS, PALS, and recent pediatric nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Pediatric Acute Care Unit
• Primarily night shifts: 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30
• Every other weekend required; for night shift, coverage includes Friday and Saturday nights
• Floating required within General Pediatrics, Pediatric Hem/Oncology, NICU, and PICU units
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses EPIC documentation system
• All time-off requests must be submitted and approved prior to assignment
• Locals allowed, but must notify if residing within 50 miles
• RTO (requested time off) is at the manager's discretion and must be included at application
• Must be willing to float to various pediatric units as required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric acute care RN experience
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
