Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level III high-risk facility requiring a NJ or compact RN license and strong clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a Level III high-risk hospital
• Must be willing to float to the High Risk OB unit as needed, which cares for early inductions, antepartum, and patients on continuous monitoring
• Possible floating to up to two nearby lower-volume hospitals, though uncommon for L&D RNs
• Night shifts (3x12 hours), 7:00pm to 7:00am
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• EPIC EMR used; experience required
• Block scheduling considered but not guaranteed
• Primary responsibilities include providing care to high-risk obstetric patients
• Floating assignments will remain within the RN’s scope of practice
• Scrubs are provided by the hospital
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; additional RTO will not be accepted

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2.5-3 years recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing, using a PC
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required with no exemptions
