Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Intermediate Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel position requiring a KY or compact license and at least two years of recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Medical Intermediate Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule from 6:45am to 7:15pm
- Assignment may include multiple units covering medical-surgical and specialty care
- No local travelers permitted due to a 50-mile radius rule
- Must explain any employment gaps of three months or more
- CPI training required for all RNs and may be completed onsite
- Documentation of credentials and certifications must be submitted prior to starting
- Assignment covers units with diverse patient populations, including medical-surgical and specialty care
- Travelers are expected to adhere to holiday coverage requirements as determined by the unit
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in the relevant specialty
- Current AHA certifications with validity extending beyond the assignment start month (BLS/ACLS as applicable)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
- Flu and COVID vaccination required with proof of vaccination
- Completion of CPI training (may be done onsite)
- U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
- No history of license disciplinary action accepted
