Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with a minimum of 1 year relevant experience and proficiency using Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a short-term acute care setting at a Level II Trauma Center
• Day shift schedule of 5x8 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• No float between units required for this position
• On-call and weekend coverage required as needed
• Average workload is 10 exams per shift
• Epic EMR is required for this role
• Main responsibilities include performing echocardiograms and related diagnostic procedures for cardiac patients
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• All travelers may be required to float to other affiliated facilities within the state if needed
• Dress code is solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire with no print tops unless specified for certain areas
• Free parking is available in employee/visitor lots
• Minimal to no time off is preferred; approved time off must be addressed before offer
• COVID and flu vaccination documentation required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year recent echo/vascular technologist experience required
• Current certifications as required for Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• References: Two supervisory references covering one year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty or setting required
• License required if applicable
