Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of recent home care experience and a current Massachusetts PT license for a float position in the South Region.

Responsibilities

Home health setting providing services in patients' residences across Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, Mission Hill, and Roxbury
Float position with assignments as scheduled within the South Region
Cares for patients of all ages from infants to seniors over 100
Uses EPIC for charting and documentation
Shift is 8:00am to 4:30pm
Weekend rotation required once every 6 weeks
Ability to travel to patient cases as assigned
Responsible for providing physical therapy assessments and interventions to patients in their home
Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and other allied health professionals to coordinate care
Timely and thorough electronic documentation according to agency policies
No validated parking; public transportation and paid parking options available with typical daily rates between $17-$22
Local candidates must live at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital; rates differ for local travelers
Team-based approach with interdisciplinary collaboration
First-time travelers will be considered if all requirements are met
Must adhere to agency standards of practice and communication protocols

Requirements

Active Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts required; MA conditional licenses not accepted
Minimum 1 year of recent home care physical therapy experience required
BLS certification from AHA required
Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
Must have reliable transportation for travel between patient locations
Flu vaccination required with no exemptions permitted
License required if applicable
