Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position in Illinois requiring an active IL RN license and at least three years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio is typically 5-6 patients per nurse
• Night shift with 12-hour shifts
• Majority of shifts are Monday through Friday, with possible weekends and scheduled holidays
• Team-based staffing with 1 RN and 2 LPNs during the night shift
• No floating required
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Uses Medhost charting system with training provided
• Must be willing to work upcoming holidays with flexibility
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required; religious or medical declinations are accepted
• Candidates should demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills
• Scrub colors are flexible and any color may be worn

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 3 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• At least 2 completed travel assignments required
• Experience with Medhost EMR required (training will be provided)
• Candidates must live more than 40 miles from the facility
