Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in Wisconsin requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and AHA or Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in an ICU setting within a hospital environment
• Patient ratio is 1:2 in the ICU
• Care occasionally includes pediatric surgical patients such as ENT or orthopedic cases
• 12-hour variable shifts are required
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Float to similar units within skillset and to other locations within a 40-mile radius as needed
• May be placed on-call during low census periods, with a minimum 2-hour callback if needed
• Epic charting system is used; no prior Epic experience is required
• Scrub color is flexible
• Travelers must comply with mask requirements if declining flu and COVID vaccinations during flu season
• Floating assignments may be pre-scheduled based on facility needs
• Team may occasionally care for pediatric surgical patients
• Holiday coverage is required for every other holiday
• Flexible scrub attire is permitted

Requirements

• Active WI RN or compact state RN license required
• Current AHA or Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience required
• Critical access or rural hospital experience highly preferred
