Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with a WI or compact license and Epic experience for a variable shift assignment in a multi-level care unit.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 32-bed combined ICU, Stepdown, and Med-Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Care for patients across ICU, stepdown, and med-surg acuity levels
• Uses Epic EMR; experience is required
• 12-hour variable day/night shifts
• Rotating schedule with every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Possible floating to med/surg units and other nearby facilities within the region
• No standard on-call responsibilities
• Expected to demonstrate resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Professional scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Must be comfortable managing care for varying acuity levels
• Team-oriented and sociable candidates are preferred
• Flu and COVID vaccine declinations require continuous mask use per policy during flu season
• Holiday coverage is required as part of the rotation

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license is required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Med/Surg experience preferred
• Prior travel RN experience is required
• Epic charting system experience is mandatory
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
