Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro/Surgical ICU night shift position requiring a current NY RN license and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Adult neuro and surgical critical care patient population
• Epic EMR is required for all candidates
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• More than 3 call outs in a 13-week contract may result in termination; make up shifts are required
• No local candidates allowed from designated counties within a 50-mile radius
• Competency testing required with a maximum of 2 attempts to pass
• RTO must be requested at the time of submission
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
• Candidates may only be considered for one position simultaneously
• Three or more call outs in a contract period require make-up shifts completed within 6 weeks
• Completion of ICU modules and assigned competency tests prior to start is mandatory

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in neuro or surgical ICU
• Current AHA or RQI certifications (BLS, ACLS as required by ICU standard)
• Epic EMR experience required
• US Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Medical exemption for flu vaccine only; facility does not accept personal or religious declinations
