Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU night shift position, requiring an active NY RN license and recent ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (ICU/SICU) in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient population includes critically ill surgical and neurological patients
• EPIC EMR experience is required and must be demonstrated
• No local candidates accepted from specified counties within a 50 mile radius
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than three call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make up shifts must be completed within a 6-week period
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with initial application
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• Competency and orientation modules must be completed prior to starting

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in surgical and neuro ICU settings
• Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• EPIC EMR experience is mandatory
• Competency testing for ICU required with two attempts allowed
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
• Flu vaccine required unless medically exempt with provider documentation
