Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU days position requiring a NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (ICU/SICU) setting
- Days shift from 07:00 to 19:00
- Direct care of critically ill neuro and surgical patients
- Must use Epic EMR; prior Epic experience required
- No blocked scheduling allowed
- Competency testing must be completed for ICU units with up to 2 attempts to pass
- Medical documentation of flu vaccination required; only medical exemptions signed by a provider are accepted
- More than three call-outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination and make-up shifts are mandated
- RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at the time of consideration
- Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
- Local candidates are not accepted if residing in specified counties within a 50-mile radius
- Travelers may only be considered for one position at a time
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in neuro or surgical ICU
- BLS and any required certifications must be from AHA or RQI
- Recent Epic EMR experience is required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number required (Canadian SIN not accepted)
