Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU position requiring a NY RN license, 2 years of recent ICU experience, and Epic EMR proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit of a hospital setting
- Responsible for neuro and surgical ICU patient populations
- Day shifts available from 07:00 to 19:00
- Must use Epic EMR and prior experience with Epic is required
- No block scheduling permitted
- Travelers may not float between travel pairs
- Competency testing for ICU must be passed within two attempts
- RTO (time off) requests must be included at the time of application
- More than 3 call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination and make-up shifts are mandatory
- Candidates may only be considered for one position at a time
- Local candidates are not accepted if residing within a 50-mile radius in specific counties
- Travel pair assignments are not allowed
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent neuro or surgical ICU experience
- BLS and any additional required certifications must be from AHA or RQI
- Epic EMR experience required
- No work history gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs not accepted
- Medical documentation required for flu exemption; personal or religious declinations not accepted
