Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU position requiring a NY RN license, two years recent specialty experience, and EPIC EMR proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work in a combined Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU/SICU) setting
- Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 19:00
- Thirteen week contract assignment
- Care for complex surgical and neurological ICU patients
- EPIC EMR is used and prior experience is required
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- Competency testing must be completed with two attempts allowed to pass
- More than three call outs in a thirteen week period will result in contract termination and makeup shifts are required
- RTO (requested time off) must be submitted with the application
- Travel pairs are not allowed
- Travelers may only apply to one position at a time
- No local candidates allowed who live in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington Counties
Requirements
- Active NY RN license is required at time of consideration
- Minimum of two years of recent ICU experience in the relevant specialty
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI
- EPIC EMR experience is mandatory
- No work history gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
- Flu vaccination required unless medically exempt with documentation
