Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU role requiring a NY license and EPIC experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU/SICU)
• Provide care to neurologic and surgical critical care patients
• Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• EPIC EMR is used and prior experience is required
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Competency testing required for ICU nurses with up to 2 attempts to pass
• More than 3 call outs in a 13-week period will result in contract termination with required make up shifts
• Time off requests must be submitted at time of application
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• Travelers may only be submitted to one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent Neuro ICU or SICU experience
• Current AHA or RQI certifications required (such as BLS/ACLS)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required unless there is a signed medical exemption from a licensed professional
• Must not reside in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington Counties
