Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position serving adult and geriatric patients with a TN or compact license and AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 34-bed Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Serve adult and geriatric patients ages 18 and above
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
• Variable staffing grid includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns
• Night shifts from 18:45-07:15
• RNs assume full responsibility for their assigned patient teams
• Team includes LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns for support
• COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required
• Local candidates are accepted with a reduced rate, subject to a radius rule that varies by state
• Night shift coverage required
• Extending the contract should be discussed with management at least 45 days before assignment end date

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year Med/Surg nursing experience
• Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start
• Successful completion of a rhythm test
• Social Security Number and US home address required
• Primary source license verification within 30 days prior to assignment
