Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN to float between Med/Surg Telemetry and Progressive Care Units on night shifts, requiring a RI or Compact RN license and strong cardiac care background.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting on Telemetry and Progressive Care Units
• Position requires floating between Med/Surg Telemetry and PCU as needed
• Provide care primarily for post-cath and cardiac patients
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• Every other weekend required, specifically Friday and Saturday nights
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Responsible for providing specialized care to telemetry and higher-acuity cardiac patients
• Must be able to float between Med/Surg Tele and PCU units as needed
• Team-oriented environment with support from various disciplines
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Current flu vaccination may be required depending on season
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Night shifts include weekend coverage requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license in RI or Compact state
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association or Red Cross required prior to consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• At least 2 years of recent cardiac care experience, including care of post-cath patients and cardiac patients in PCU
• Epic EMR experience required
