Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Medical ICU position in a Level 1 trauma, stroke, and burn center, requiring an active IN or compact RN license and AHA BLS/ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), Critical Care Unit
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• Standard nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Work in a facility that is a Level 1 trauma center, Stroke Center for Excellence, Burn Center, ELSO certified, and a Transplant Center
• Uses Sunrise charting system
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Must be available to work assigned holidays based on unit needs
• Floating may be required based on facility staffing
• Position located in a highly specialized and high-acuity care environment
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate based on facility radius rules
• COVID vaccination is not required
• All positions are auto offer

Requirements

• Active IN or compact state RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Nursys license verification and primary source license verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Driver’s license copy required
• Two professional references required
