Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Medical ICU position in a Level 1 trauma, stroke, and burn center, requiring an active IN or compact RN license and AHA BLS/ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), Critical Care Unit
- Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
- Standard nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1
- Every other weekend rotation required
- Work in a facility that is a Level 1 trauma center, Stroke Center for Excellence, Burn Center, ELSO certified, and a Transplant Center
- Uses Sunrise charting system
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Must be available to work assigned holidays based on unit needs
- Floating may be required based on facility staffing
- Position located in a highly specialized and high-acuity care environment
- Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate based on facility radius rules
- COVID vaccination is not required
- All positions are auto offer
Requirements
- Active IN or compact state RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Certification required
- Nursys license verification and primary source license verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Driver’s license copy required
- Two professional references required
