Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 2 years of OR experience and a valid SC or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 6:30am to 7:00pm
• On-call rotation required with one to two call days during the week and one call weekend every five weeks
• Floating within scope to other like units or sister facilities may be required
• Uses Epic EMR for charting
• Radiation badge required and provided by the agency
• OR hospital-issued scrubs must be worn
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Hospital has 304 staffed beds
• Parking is provided with a pass, and no fee is required
• Block scheduling may be requested and is subject to manager approval
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included up front for approval
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted at a local rate and require HR approval
• Participation in emergency response teams may be required during hurricane season (June-November)
• Pre-employment modules required, averaging 4 hours, completed before start date

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license (must be in hand or proof of application required)
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an Operating Room RN
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• SSN and driver’s license required for consideration
• Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
