Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position caring for transplant and complex GI patients, requiring a CA license and transplant experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit specializing in patients with liver, kidney, and pancreatic diseases, including transplant recipients
• Care for patients with complex gastrointestinal disorders and serve as overflow for Med/Surg Tele unit
• Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 7:00-19:30, including every other weekend
• Float to other units and potentially other locations as census requires
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Modules completed during orientation via e-learning
• Major responsibilities include caring for transplant recipients and managing complex GI cases
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Only one holiday request for time off will be approved during contract
• Return staff must have been separated from the facility for at least one year to be eligible as a traveler
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Locals are accepted at a lower rate

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience in a similar setting required
• Transplant nursing experience with liver, kidney, and pancreas patients is required
• Epic experience preferred
