Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with transplant experience and a California license for a Med/Surg Tele position caring for patients with liver, kidney, and pancreatic diseases.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit that also serves transplant recipients
• Care for patients with liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants, complex gastrointestinal disorders, and Med/Surg Tele overflow
• Day shift (3x12 hours), 7:00–19:30, with every other weekend required
• Floating may be required to other units or CPMC locations as census demands
• Epic charting experience is preferred
• Orientation includes mandatory online modules completed during training
• Only one holiday off will be approved during the contract
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Returning travelers must have been away from the facility for at least one year
• Locals are accepted but must be aware they will be paid at a local rate

Requirements

• Active California RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Transplant experience with liver, kidney, and pancreas patients required
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of offer acceptance
• Epic EMR experience preferred
