Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position specializing in transplant and GI care, requiring a CA RN license and transplant experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Care for patients with liver, kidney, and pancreatic diseases, including transplant recipients
• Serve as an overflow unit for medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Day shifts (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) with every other weekend required
• Travelers may float to other units and CPMC locations as needed based on census
• Preferred experience with Epic EMR
• Primary duties include comprehensive care for complex GI and transplant patients
• Only one holiday requested off (RTO) will be approved during the contract
• Orientation modules are completed via e-learning and are included during orientation
• A 50 mile radius rule applies to travel nurse eligibility
• Locals are accepted at a local rate

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS certification required and in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Transplant experience with liver, kidney, and pancreas specifically required
• Availability for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Return staff must have been gone for at least 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
