Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) with at least 1 year of OR experience and ARRT (R) certification for a rotating day and evening shift assignment in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in an acute care hospital radiology department
• Work across all diagnostic radiology areas, including fluoro, mobiles, routine, operating room, endoscopy, and orthopedics
• Procedures include diagnostic X-rays, fluoroscopy, and operating room cases such as cysto procedures using C-arm and O-arm
• Department is equipped with 3 X-ray rooms, 6 C-arms, an O-arm, Del Medical, OEC, and Siemens (R&F) equipment
• Uses Epic EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS for charting and imaging
• Schedule consists of 5 eight-hour shifts per week on day shift, with rotating weekends as evening shifts (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm)
• No call requirements; department is staffed 24/7
• Rotates through all diagnostic areas for technical skill development
• Responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic radiology procedures across multiple units
• Collaborates with radiologists and interdisciplinary healthcare team to support imaging needs
• No IV starts required
• Black scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
• Candidate must not have worked at any WVU Medicine facility within the past 2 years
• Travelers cannot exceed 1 cumulative year at WVU facilities before a mandatory 2-year break is required
• Local candidates are not accepted; a 50-mile radius rule applies for eligibility

Requirements

• Current ARRT (R) certification required
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a radiologic technologist
• Must have operating room (OR) experience
• Experience with Epic EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS preferred
• License required if applicable
