Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position in California, requiring 3 years of L&D experience and California RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital
• Patient care includes laboring mothers and postpartum women
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
• Must be flexible to work weekends as required by contract length
• Float to Mother Baby Unit as needed
• May be required to float to other facilities within the state
• Utilizes Epic EMR system
• Scrub color is any color
• Provide comprehensive care to laboring and postpartum patients
• Support and educate patients and families throughout the birthing process
• Team environment with potential to float to similar units at other facilities
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Free parking is available
• RTO (time off) requests must be included at time of application
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Travelers cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum of 3 years current L&D nursing experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced
• Former permanent staff must have a 3-month separation before applying as a traveler
• Must provide at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of L&D employment within the last three years
• Epic EMR experience required
• Precepting skills preferred
