Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a PCU RN with cardiovascular experience and a NM or compact RN license for night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 55-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes individuals requiring cardiovascular monitoring and care
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4
• Night shifts with typical hours from 18:30 to 07:00, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend shifts are required on a rotating basis as needed
• Floating to other units is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses EPIC documentation system; EPIC experience preferred
• Scrub color is flexible but must be logo-free
• Cardiovascular experience is required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Block scheduling may be available on a case-by-case basis
• Former permanent staff must be gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be auto approved, and no time off is allowed during the first week of orientation
• No travel pairs or groups are accepted

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CPI certification preferred
• 1+ years of recent progressive care or cardiovascular nursing experience required, 2 years preferred
• Prior experience with EPIC charting system preferred
