Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) night shift position requiring a current NM or compact RN license and cardiovascular experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 4x12 hour shifts from 18:30 to 7:00
• Patient ratio is 1:4 on a 55-bed unit
• Cardiovascular patient population
• Uses EPIC charting system (experience preferred)
• Floating to other units may be required
• Weekends required on a rotating basis
• Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• No on-call responsibility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must have at least 1 year separation before returning as a traveler
• Scrub color is any, but no logos allowed
• No travel pairs or groups are accepted
• Candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible
• No more than 3 days of requested time off (RTO) will be automatically approved; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CPI preferred
• Minimum of 1 year recent PCU experience required; 2 years preferred
• Cardiovascular experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
