Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) night shift position requiring a current NM or compact RN license and cardiovascular experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with 4x12 hour shifts from 18:30 to 7:00
- Patient ratio is 1:4 on a 55-bed unit
- Cardiovascular patient population
- Uses EPIC charting system (experience preferred)
- Floating to other units may be required
- Weekends required on a rotating basis
- Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
- No on-call responsibility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must have at least 1 year separation before returning as a traveler
- Scrub color is any, but no logos allowed
- No travel pairs or groups are accepted
- Candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible
- No more than 3 days of requested time off (RTO) will be automatically approved; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
Requirements
- Active NM or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CPI preferred
- Minimum of 1 year recent PCU experience required; 2 years preferred
- Cardiovascular experience required
- EPIC charting experience preferred
