Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an inpatient Rehab unit night shift position requiring Epic experience and a LA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Inpatient Rehab unit setting
Patient population includes general rehab, stroke rehab, spinal cord rehab, and brain injury rehab cases
Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5
Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 18:30 to 7:00
Weekend work is required
Floating to other units may be required
No on-call responsibilities
Uses Epic EMR system and prior Epic experience is required
Primary duties include providing nursing care to patients with rehabilitation needs, including those recovering from strokes, spinal cord injuries, and brain injuries
Royal blue scrubs are required
Strict policy limiting requested time off around Mardi Gras (2/13 - 2/22), with minimal RTO allowed during this period

Requirements

Active LA or compact RN license
Minimum of 2 years RN experience
Epic EMR experience required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
First time travelers will not be considered
Former permanent employees at any related facility must be separated for at least 1 year to qualify
Must reside outside a 75 mile radius from the facility
