Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of IR experience for a 13-week daytime contract assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a short-term acute care, Level III trauma, teaching hospital
• Unit: Interventional Radiology
• Shifts are 3x12 hours per week, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with non-consecutive days and varying days off as needed
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• Call required as part of the regular schedule
• Floating to like units within scope may be required
• Epic used for charting; prior experience preferred
• Scrubs are provided
• Responsibilities include assisting with interventional radiology procedures, monitoring patients, and collaborating with the care team
• All callouts for scheduled shifts must be made up as deemed necessary by the department
• First-time travelers are accepted
• No block scheduling accommodations
• Return staff must have a 1-year gap before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may only complete two consecutive assignments before a mandatory 6-month break
• Time-off requests are subject to manager discretion
• Testing and vaccinations may be required per facility policy

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• Current IR Technologist credentials and applicable license required
• Experience working with acute care and trauma patients preferred
• Ability to work weekends, day shifts, and participate in call as scheduled
• Must live more than 50 miles from the main campus
• Applications must include 2 recent professional supervisor references
• Pending licenses not accepted—active credential required at time of consideration
• License required if applicable
