Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night position requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active NC or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a short-term acute care hospital on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule of 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment
• Patient ratio is 1:5-6
• Requires floating within scope between like units as needed
• Every other weekend shifts required
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience preferred
• First-time travelers are accepted
• System allows a maximum of two contract assignments before a 6-month break is required
• Scrub attire is royal blue and white
• Holiday coverage may be expected according to unit scheduling
• RTO is at the manager's discretion and must be discussed prior to assignment

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Applicants must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Previous staff must be gone at least 1 year to return as a traveler
• Pending licenses are not accepted
