Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift ICU assignment in a medical respiratory unit requiring Level 1 trauma and CCRN certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Medical Respiratory ICU within a hospital setting
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
- Level 1 trauma and academic facility experience highly preferred
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- Duties include providing advanced care to critically ill respiratory patients
- Facility enforces a drug, tobacco, and smoke-free workplace policy
- Natural nail policy in effect; artificial nails are not permitted
- Travelers must undergo fingerprinting prior to start (required for ER and Psych roles but may apply broadly)
- Holidays may be required, and time-off requests must be submitted in advance
- First-time travelers are accepted
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 12 months of ICU RN experience
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, CCRN
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program (diploma, associate, or BSN accepted)
- Must not have been employed at the facility within the previous twelve months
