Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU night shift position requiring recent Level 1 CSICU/CVICU experience and Epic proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at a Level 1 hospital
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Work focuses on caring for post-cardiac surgery intensive care patients
- Requires experience with Epic EMR
- Assignment is 13 weeks in length
- Duties include managing critically ill cardiac surgery patients in an intensive care setting
- Facility enforces a drug and tobacco-free workplace and a natural nail policy
- Holiday coverage may be required according to hospital needs
- Fingerprinting and background checks are required for compliance
- First-time travelers are accepted if all requirements are met
- All candidates must adhere to the facility's smoke-free policies
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a CSICU or CVICU at a Level 1 facility
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing program (diploma, Associate, or BSN accepted)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Must not have worked at the same health system within the past 6 months
