Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU night shift position requiring recent Level 1 CSICU/CVICU experience and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at a Level 1 hospital
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Work focuses on caring for post-cardiac surgery intensive care patients
• Requires experience with Epic EMR
• Assignment is 13 weeks in length
• Duties include managing critically ill cardiac surgery patients in an intensive care setting
• Facility enforces a drug and tobacco-free workplace and a natural nail policy
• Holiday coverage may be required according to hospital needs
• Fingerprinting and background checks are required for compliance
• First-time travelers are accepted if all requirements are met
• All candidates must adhere to the facility's smoke-free policies

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a CSICU or CVICU at a Level 1 facility
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing program (diploma, Associate, or BSN accepted)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Must not have worked at the same health system within the past 6 months
