Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift assignment requiring a current FL or compact license, EPIC experience, and ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a hospital Progressive Care Unit setting
• Patient ratio is 1:5 on the PCU
• Requires care of adult progressive care patients
• Night shifts scheduled as 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00
• Required to work every other weekend or as directed by unit needs
• Floating required to other units or facilities within the system as needed
• On-call duties are not required
• Uses Epic EMR system; prior experience required
• Flu vaccine required between 10/31 and 3/31 unless with approved medical or religious exemption
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Must not have worked internally at the facility in a contracted position within the past year
• Scrubs of any solid color are permitted but must be matching top and bottom, with no logos or prints
• Free parking provided with decal at orientation
• Kronos used for timekeeping and badge swiping

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration; no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or similar nursing experience required
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• EPIC charting experience is required
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment
• Must submit two references from supervisory nursing authority figures within the last year
