Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Telemetry Float nurse with a current MA license and at least two years of tele experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital environment with float assignment across multiple units including ED holds, Med Surg/Tele, Medical Oncology, Surgical, Cardiac, and PCU
• True float position with the possibility to work on various non-ICU units each shift
• Possible float to Endoscopy limited to basic patient care only
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 7:15
• Required to work every other weekend and holiday
• Charting is performed with Meditech Expanse; prior experience is highly preferred but not required
• Responsibilities include providing high-quality nursing care across various acute care units as needed
• No floating to ICU units
• May float to the Endoscopy unit for basic patient care tasks only
• Holiday and every other weekend coverage is required
• Two professional references are required, including one from a Nurse Manager or higher

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years' recent telemetry experience required
• Prior PCU experience preferred
• Must pass an EKG test
• RN candidates must live at least 200 miles from the facility for consideration
• No previous disciplinary action on nursing license
