Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 18 months of recent Emergency Department experience and multiple certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Department in a hospital setting
- Night shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week, 19:00 to 7:30
- Patient care in a fast-paced emergency/trauma environment
- Use of Cerner EMR system required
- Required to work every other weekend
- May float to other units within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed, though this is rare
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays as part of schedule
- Up to five days of requested time off (RTO) can be auto-approved
- Team-based environment with support for travelers
- All travelers should be prepared to float within the facility or to affiliate hospitals
- Participation in the care of a diverse, high-acuity patient population is expected
Requirements
- Active IN or Compact RN license in hand by start date
- Minimum 18 months to 2 years of recent ER RN experience required
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC, current and from AHA or RQI
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Experience with Cerner charting is required
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Local candidates are not accepted for this ER position
- Perm or PRN employees must have a 12-month separation from work at the facility before being considered as travelers
