Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong Ortho, Neuro, and Vascular surgical experience for a day shift contract.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Operating Room setting
• Focus on Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, GYN, and General surgery cases
• Robotics, plastics, bariatrics, laparoscopic, ENT, and urology surgeries performed
• No open heart or transplant surgeries
• Runs 10 OR rooms daily, all starting at 07:30
• Shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with some Saturday day shifts possible
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• EMR: Epic experience required
• Position involves a variety of surgical specialties with emphasis on complex orthopedic, neuro, and vascular procedures
• No floating to other units is specified
• Block schedule accommodation is available
• Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
• Only one time-off request may be submitted
• Two professional references are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active MD or compact state RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years Operating Room RN experience
• Certifications required: ACLS and BLS
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Pending RN license accepted for consideration
