Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in a Certified Stroke Center with neurology and telemetry expertise.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a focus on neurological patients, including a Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Unit also functions as a telemetry overflow for diverse patient populations
• Handles patients with neuro-related diagnoses as well as general Med/Surg Tele cases
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, 19:00–07:30
• Required to work every other weekend and cover holidays
• Floating to other units may be required to support hospital needs
• Provide care for patients in a Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Must be prepared to manage a variety of patient populations beyond neurology when the unit is used as telemetry overflow
• Holiday shifts are required as part of the rotation

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Experience in neurology and Med/Surg Telemetry settings required
• Successful completion of basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias before orientation
