Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with at least 2 years of mammography experience, ARRT (R)(M), and active state license.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care radiology department focused on mammography
• Primary procedures include screening and diagnostic mammography, with possible DEXA scans
• Average of 26 mammography screenings per day
• Uses Hologic Mammo and GE DEXA equipment
• Charting is performed using Epic, PenRad, and Sectra PACS
• Day shifts are 10 hours, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with Tuesdays off
• Weekend shifts on Saturdays may be required
• Float to different locations within the system as needed
• Departmental orientation provided at each location
• Duties include performing both screening and diagnostic mammography, and possibly DEXA scans
• Expect to float between department locations as assigned
• No specific scrub color is required
• A radiology supervisor and a lead technologist provide support
• No requirement to start IVs
• Holiday coverage is not required
• First-day departmental orientation is provided for each work location

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in mammography
• Current ARRT (R)(M) certification and BLS certification required
• Active state license required at the time of consideration; license required if applicable
• Proficiency with Epic, PenRad, and Sectra PACS EMRs
• Experience with Hologic Mammo and GE DEXA equipment preferred
• Must provide copy of driver’s license at time of consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
