Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 2 years of acute care experience and current ARRT certification.
Responsibilities
- Acute care setting with responsibilities in General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, Operating Room, Emergency Department, and portable imaging
- Department consists of 4 general X-ray rooms and 2 fluoroscopy rooms
- Daily studies average 80-100 in a 24-hour period
- Equipment includes 3 GE general X-ray rooms, 1 Shimadzu X-ray room, GE fluoroscopy, GE portables, and OEC C-Arms
- Uses Epic for EMR and Sectra for PACS
- Assigned 4x10 hour day shifts from Saturday through Tuesday, 0700-1730
- Floating required between General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and Portable imaging as needed
- Occasional call with a 45-minute response time may be required
- Will work with an in-house imaging supervisor, shift and modality lead technologists, and a 24/7 onsite radiologist
- No RRA (Registered Radiology Assistants) on the team
- IV starting is not required but is a useful skill
- Department orientation typically occurs during the first three days
- Professional, tasteful scrubs are required; any color is acceptable
- Hospital-provided scrubs are supplied only for staff working in the OR
- Schedule is posted at least two weeks in advance, with some weekend and holiday coverage as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting
- Active ARRT (R) certification and BLS required
- Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) verification required
- Must have experience performing General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, and OR exams
- OR imaging experience is required
- Must possess own lead markers
- Radiation badge required before starting assignment
- Experience using Epic EMR and Sectra PACS is preferred
- Active state license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references, one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years, with documented employment dates and rehire eligibility
