Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 2 years of acute care and OR experience for night shifts, requiring active ARRT and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care setting with a radiology department
• Float between general X-ray, fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and portable X-ray exams
• Department has 4 general X-ray rooms, 2 fluoroscopy rooms, and uses GE, Shimadzu, and OEC C-Arm equipment
• Performs all general X-ray, fluoroscopy, operating room, and emergency department imaging
• Average department volume is 80-100 studies per 24-hour period
• Uses Epic EMR and Sectra PACS software
• 12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Some call coverage may be required with a 45-minute response time
• Float within assigned imaging modalities as needed
• Responsibilities include performing general X-ray, fluoroscopy, OR, and ED imaging procedures and supporting a high-volume department
• Team includes imaging supervisor and shift/modality lead technologists, with a radiologist available 24/7
• Orientation typically provided during the first three days of assignment
• Scrubs of any professional color permitted; hospital scrubs provided only for OR work
• Must provide 2 professional references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years
• Copy of driver’s license and active certifications must be provided for consideration

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist in acute care and operating room settings
• Current ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
• Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) verification needed
• Active state license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted (license required if applicable)
• Must have experience performing all general X-ray, fluoroscopy, and operating room exams
• Own lead markers required for use during assignment
• Radiation badge required prior to starting assignment
• Familiarity with Epic EMR, Sectra PACS, and Windows computer software
