Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 2 years of acute care and OR experience for night shifts, requiring active ARRT and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute care setting with a radiology department
- Float between general X-ray, fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and portable X-ray exams
- Department has 4 general X-ray rooms, 2 fluoroscopy rooms, and uses GE, Shimadzu, and OEC C-Arm equipment
- Performs all general X-ray, fluoroscopy, operating room, and emergency department imaging
- Average department volume is 80-100 studies per 24-hour period
- Uses Epic EMR and Sectra PACS software
- 12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Some call coverage may be required with a 45-minute response time
- Float within assigned imaging modalities as needed
- Responsibilities include performing general X-ray, fluoroscopy, OR, and ED imaging procedures and supporting a high-volume department
- Team includes imaging supervisor and shift/modality lead technologists, with a radiologist available 24/7
- Orientation typically provided during the first three days of assignment
- Scrubs of any professional color permitted; hospital scrubs provided only for OR work
- Must provide 2 professional references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years
- Copy of driver’s license and active certifications must be provided for consideration
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist in acute care and operating room settings
- Current ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
- Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) verification needed
- Active state license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted (license required if applicable)
- Must have experience performing all general X-ray, fluoroscopy, and operating room exams
- Own lead markers required for use during assignment
- Radiation badge required prior to starting assignment
- Familiarity with Epic EMR, Sectra PACS, and Windows computer software
