Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and ARRT (M) certification for an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital radiology department specializing in mammography
• Department features 2 scanners and utilizes Hologic equipment
• Daily caseload averages 22-28 mammography studies per day
• Duties include screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms, and biopsy procedures
• Uses Epic EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS
• Day shifts, Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts
• No weekend, holiday, or call requirements
• No floating to other areas is required
• Training provided based on experience and comfort with equipment
• Department is supported by a lead technologist and has in-house radiologist coverage
• Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs) are utilized in the department
• Scrubs in grey required
• No IV starts required
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Return travelers must have a 2-year break if previously employed at this or any related facility
• May not work at this system for more than one year without a 2-year break
• Local travelers within 50 miles are not accepted

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ARRT (M) Mammography Technologist certification required
• Proficiency in Hologic mammography equipment and use of Epic EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS
• License required if applicable
