Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and active CNMT and BLS certifications for a Level 1 trauma acute care setting.
Details
- Work in an acute care, Level 1 trauma environment
- Nuclear medicine unit using Siemens PET/CT Biograph Vision and Siemens E.CAMs
- Monday through Friday day shifts, typically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Call requirement is one day per week and every fifth weekend
- Charting is performed using Epic EMR
- Floating within the nuclear medicine department may be expected
- Radiation badge is provided
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Active Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB and BLS certification required
- Active state license required at time of consideration; pending licensure will not be accepted
- Driver’s license required for consideration
- DOT Certification preferred for original contract and required at extension (within 90 days)
- License required if applicable
- Must provide professional references: one supervisor reference from within the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years
- Artificial nails are prohibited while providing patient care; refusal to comply will result in termination
Additional Information
- Responsible for performing nuclear medicine imaging and procedures using Siemens PET/CT and E.CAM systems; training provided if unfamiliar with specific equipment
- Orientation includes 12 hours
- Assignment is for 13 weeks
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility and not hold full time, part time, or PRN status with any CommonSpirit (including CHI or Dignity) facilities
- Driver's license is used to verify permanent address and radius requirement compliance
- Return to work is not permitted for candidates employed by CommonSpirit facilities in the past year, unless worked PRN through outside agencies
- Radiation safety protocols and use of a provided radiation badge are required
- Dress code prohibits artificial nails in patient care departments
