Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a skilled RN for an ICU position in a rural hospital requiring SC or compact licensure and AHA BLS/ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU of a small rural hospital setting
• Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30
• 13-week assignment
• Provide critical care nursing including management of central lines, chest tubes, catheters, pressure ulcers, restraints, and high risk for falls
• Perform hourly patient rounds utilizing the 4 P’s approach
• Maintain professional relationships with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers
• Participate in departmental goals through mentoring, precepting, and engaging in evidence-based practices
• Adhere to health and safety protocols and standards for medication storage
• Wear appropriate attire per hospital dress code

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year ICU RN experience
