Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Critical Care Unit day shift position requiring a current NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Critical Care Unit of a hospital setting
• Adult patient population in a progressive care/step-down environment
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• EPIC EMR is used and prior experience is required
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Competency testing is required with up to two attempts to pass
• Candidates must not reside in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties within a 50 mile radius
• No local candidates are allowed from the specified counties
• Travel pairs are not permitted
• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be included at time of application
• More than three call outs in a 13-week contract may result in termination and make-up shifts must be completed within six weeks
• Travelers may only submit to one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum two years of recent experience in the relevant specialty required
• Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• No gaps of 90 days or more in work history within the past 12 months
• Valid US Social Security Number required
• Medical flu exemption must be signed by a licensed professional; personal or religious declinations not accepted
