Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week Home Health contract, requiring BLS and a valid state license with at least 1 year of home health experience.
Responsibilities
- Home health setting working with adult patients aged 18 and older
- Patient load averages 4-6 per day with a minimum of 24-30 visits per week
- Primary territory is Fredericksburg with 1-2 days per week in the Falls Church area
- Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekend or on-call requirement, but weekend work is optional if arranged in advance
- Charting is done on-site using Kinnser/Wellsky; Oasis experience is preferred but not required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Mileage is reimbursed according to IRS standard for travel from first patient to last patient
- Free residential parking is available
- All time-off requests must be submitted with initial application—no additional RTO accepted after offer
- Friendly attitude, punctuality, self-initiative, and strong communication skills are highly valued
- Charting devices will be provided for use during clinic hours
- Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at the same pay rate
- Compliance process may take 2-3 weeks prior to start date
Requirements
- Active state PT license required at time of consideration, with no disciplinary actions
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of home health or homecare PT experience
- Acute care experience is also acceptable
- Must arrive with all required compliance documentation completed
- Proficiency in timely and accurate charting within clinical setting
- Flu vaccination required; COVID vaccination is optional
- Business casual attire with closed-toe shoes required on duty
