Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a GA or compact RN license and at least 18 months of experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) of a clinic setting
- Post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) providing care to surgical patients during recovery
- Day shift, 8-hour AM shifts with no on-call requirements
- Must provide safe recovery care to post-anesthesia patients in a fast-paced ASC environment
- Strict rules apply to time off requests: maximum of five total days unless time off falls on or near a holiday, in which case only three days are allowed
- Only one holiday request is permitted during the assignment and RTO must be spread out if multiple dates during the holiday period are needed
- Candidates may only be considered for one position at a time with this employer
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 18 months RN experience in a PACU or similar acute care setting
- Applicants must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
- Former perm staff must have been separated for 1 year before returning to the health system and 18 months if returning to the same facility
