Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an X-Ray Technician with 1-3 years of experience, NJ State RT License, and proficiency in a variety of imaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based radiology department
• Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Assignment spans 13 weeks
• EPIC is used for charting
• Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
• Perform and provide appropriate imaging and treatment processes in line with applicable professional guidelines
• Monitor the need for procedure revisions and coordinate daily imaging procedures
• Maintain all imaging equipment, assessing procedure safety and patient comfort
• Other related duties as assigned
• Travelers are not eligible if residing within 50 miles (no locals accepted)
• Assignments may last up to one calendar year with a required 30-60 day break before returning

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiography school
• Active NJ State RT License required if applicable
• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• 1-3 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician
• Demonstrated knowledge in setup, use, troubleshooting, and proper care of various imaging equipment
• Current knowledge of clinical practice trends, healthcare informatics, and relevant technologies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
