Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a night shift Med/Surg Orthopedics position requiring at least one year of specialty experience and a current MT or compact state license.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Orthopedics Acute Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes orthopedic cases
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Travelers may be required to float to other units within scope of competency and qualifications
• Use of Epic EMR system is required
• May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts
• Provide direct and indirect nursing care, including health teaching and patient counseling
• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with standards
• Must adhere to hospital documentation and regulatory guidelines
• May perform health teaching, referrals, and therapy consultations
• Applicants who were previously permanent staff at an Intermountain facility must have at least a one-year separation before becoming eligible for assignment
• Drug screen and background check must be completed with the designated vendor; allow two weeks for processing
• Orientation or additional training may be required based on unit assignment

Requirements

• Active MT or compact state RN license required at time of consideration
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with at least an ASN
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association and must be valid through start date
• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience in the orthopedic specialty
• Submission is not accepted with a pending license; license must be active
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for job consideration
